Wisrick Wyrmwood was born in Tahu’Lareh, northeast of Arcas. His mother was young at the time of his conception, and Wisrick was the unintentional aftermath of a moonlight tryst. He was instead raised by his uncle, Roark, an older military-focused Mali’fenn with a detrimental addiction to staking. From a young age Wisrick received whopping dollops of life lessons from his batty, yet strict uncle. Despite the harsh, frigid conditions of the land, Wisrick cradled a deep fascination for nature, and for the supernatural lingering in the world around him.
When he was fifteen years old he was encouraged by his uncle Roark to begin training in the military, which was fairly custom for the young Mali’fenn in Tahu’Lareh. He left his uncle’s house and began to explore areas of interest he had not had the means nor opportunity to explore before. History, science, and self-expression came as easily to him as wielding a weapon. Up until this time in his life, Wisrick had few friends and spend the vast majority of his time alone. He was delighted, and then quickly overwhelmed by the abrupt change in his lifestyle.
Wisrick took a leave from the military when he received word that his mother had fallen ill. He returned to his home to care for her, spending time with her and pondering quietly on the order of things and on his place in the universe. He came to the final epiphany that his calling was elsewhere, and the Wyrvun and his Six were calling him elsewhere. Following his mother’s funeral, Wisrick packed his bags and left Tahu’Lareh.
His hope in leaving Tahu’Lareh is to gain some perspective, and to survey the scale of the world around him. He is an adept fighter, but what good is a weapon when you don’t believe in a cause? Wisrick intends to learn new skills, create social connections, and to fulfill the purpose he feels his deity is guiding him toward.
