Yelyhm Salumir was born into the world not knowing who her parents were. She was taken in by an elderly widowed wood elf, Leyur’ Salumir. Leyur’Salumir raised Yelyhm Salumir alone and taught her everything she needed to know to help her become an independent elf. Leyur’Salumir taught Yelyhm about the Elnarnsae’ame and trained her in beginner combat and bow craft. Leyur taught Yelyhm to follow the path of the Sage as she thought this would help bring out the best in her. Leyur also gave her knowledge of the world outside the woods through stories of adventures she had gone on. Yelyhm, innately timid, always stayed close to home. She enjoyed living in the woods far from Siramenor. She preferred living a secluded life and not having others know of her existence. As she’s very sensitive to external forces and enjoys the comforts of a private life with only people she cares about. Which to her is her only family member Leyur.
Leyur’Salumir was a semi-nomadic wood elf. She enjoyed going on adventures. Leyur originated from the Torena Seed. She lost her mate long ago and was unable to bear a child. Through her adventures she came across a baby in the middle of the woods and took her in as her own. She named her Yelyhm and bestowed her last name onto the child. Yelyhm was an extremely curious child and as Leyur was teaching Yelyhm about the world Leyur felt it was time to share with Yelyhm that she was not her biological mother. Yelyhm, unsure how to respond and did not know the difference, did not care because to Yelyhm, Leyur was everything.
One day Yelyhm became curious about the symbols on Leyur’s arm and Leyur told her it is the symbol of her tribe. Yelyhm wanted to be like Leyur and asked if she could be one too. Leyur elated with Yelyhm’s question said yes and that she would pass on her Seed’s tradition onto Yelyhm when she became of age.
Yelyhm now 50 years old, carries around the Torena tattoo on her left arm just as Leyur and now feels ready to go on an adventure of her own. She sets out to Siramenor to find out what there is in store for her.
