Tur had always been an careful, honest friend, and an elf with realistic goals and expectations. Over the years that reliability has turned into something else, starting with forgetfulness, and later constantly accusing his colleagues of stealing his things and lying to him. The board had decided he was mentally unfit to go on teaching as a Fenn University professor in hopes of forcing him to realize what he needed was a peaceful retirement, after all he had been around 3 or 4 times longer than the average snow elf.
Tur outright refused to accept that he was fired; he all he wanted was to spend the rest of his life at his beloved occupation. As he took out his bitter feelings of betrayal and unfairness on the folks around him he realized no one really retaliated, at best a look of annoyance and even pity. At last Tur realized he doesn’t have much time left in this world. The bleak reality prompted him to do at least something before getting sent to a “special” home.
