Faelar was an orphan boy adopted by an old gambling addict, perhaps as an attempt to turn his life around. Not much is of note about his early childhood, but he was very adept at parlor games. He especially excelled at blackjack, often playing at his dad's place. Having never met his parents, he looked up to his adoptive father, even inheriting certain habits like tapping his fingers on wooden surfaces and laughing when he gets nervous. He has been raised in Reza, causing more than half a dozen disturbances in the city, and was always quite a big fan of Canonism, even if he does not share their faith. A while ago, he got into it with the wrong crowd and caused a bar fight leading to being kicked out of the bar. After, he started noticing people following him around town, glaring and making strange gestures at him. He realized the heat was becoming too much and left Reza to protect his dad from any danger that might come to him. No matter how poor or cold he was, he moved from city to city, trying to find a purpose. At the current time, he tries to stay on the right side of the law, attempting to make something of his life, just as his adoptive father did before him.

Faelar is a kind individual yet often misguided by his naivety and compulsiveness. He has a habit of proposing gambles he can easily win, often pissing off the wrong crowd once they get onto his schemes, yet is rarely seen keeping what he's won, often spending it buying people rounds in pubs or donating it to someone down on their luck. Overall he is quite the troublesome fellow trying to pay his dues in life while helping out the ones that need it along the ride.
