You’ve just arrived in a swampy, dim town. As you look around, your gaze is met with shacks and cabins. It smells of rotted wood and wet moss. You duck and step into a tattered tent, illuminated by a series of candles suspended in the air. At the back of the tent, an old hag raises her head, “What brings you to this dingy town? she begins, then pauses to study your face—”Ah, it’s you. I’ve been expecting you. Sit,” she gestures at a cushion, “Tell me your story.” ((How do you respond?)) Kiera hesitates, but does as she's told and takes a seat. "O-okay, I guess I'll start from the beginning." She solemnly begins her story, "I was born in to a family of wood elves, but at a young age they had abandoned me in a forest. I never learned why, but it no longer matters. I spent most of my time in the wilderness, but I was soon discovered by a ranger," she smiles as she remembers her guardian. "He took me in and taught me how to defend myself and survive in the wild. For the next several years, I learned how to live with the animals and to coexist in harmony with nature. I would have been happy to remain in the wilds, but I dream of a life full of adventure and excitement." Her eyes light up with the idea of adventure and she gives the old woman a bright smile, "So now I'm traveling to learn more about the world."

Deep in the woods of Arcas at a lone cabin, there lived a Helne and Coru Miaro, a loving Mali’ame couple. Despite Iblee’s Curse of Infertility, Helne was able to give birth to a healthy baby elfess, Kiera Miaro. Kiera lived a relatively normal and peaceful childhood. Her father Coru was a proud hunter, he honed his skills in archery and would go out everyday to provide meat and furs for the family. Helne spent her days tending to the home and maintaining a garden where she taught Kiera how to grow crops and beautiful flowers. At around age twenty, after enough begging, Kiera was able to get her father to teach her the basic skills of archery. Kiera’s parents taught her much in the ways of religion, following the Wild Faith, the Miaro family has great faith in Cerridwen and Cernunnos, and believe the best way to live is in harmony with nature. Along with religion, Kiera was also educated in the history of the Mali’ame: The story of Malin and Taynei’Hiylu and how Iblee’s curse was brought upon the Elves, the disappearance of Malin and the split of the Elven race, historical mistreatment from the Order of the White Rose and the High Elves, and everything in-between. Having only known her peaceful life in the forest with her family, Kiera has always wondered what the outside world is like. She wishes to go on her onw adventure and meet others to learn about their stories while she writes her own. She has finally reached the mature age of fifty, and it is time for her to spread her wings and leave the nest. In a tearful goodbye her parents, knowing of her naïve nature, remind her to be cautious of the people she meets. With that Kiera sets off on her journey with nothing but the clothes on her back and an adventurous spirit.
