Joakim is a 19 year old boy who was raised by his mother for most of his life. When he was 7, his father disappear in adventure exploring old cave, which meant that he and his mother were poor because she could not pay enough to keep the house. Instead they travelled across Arcas, visiting lots of cities like Haense, Renatus and Adria, while trying to sell whatever they find on the road to each new place. Sometimes bandits like the Reivers might stop and try to rob him and take his mother’s things, but most of the time they would get lucky and the Reivers would run scared of guards or other people in the road, so they avoid trouble most of the time. Now Joakim’s mother is starting to get old, so she must find a place to stay outside of the Talus Grove so she can hide from bandits and other people while Joakim goes out to make some more money now that he is older. This is the first time that Joakim has gone out on his own for a long time, because he normally stays with his mother to help her. Going out to explore the world for the first time really, he hopes that he can somehow earn money and get his mother a home in the city.
