His ancestors climbed the giant ice wall to get to the new land of Arcas instead of taking a boat. Luckly, some did while others didn't survive the cold. but they knew they had to migrate to the new lands. He was born into a normal household for a halfling. Holes in the ground surrounded by nice farms at the river bank. His small village smaller the the average Halfling village. It was father away from other territories as other halfling villages would be. His family was financally stable and his parents were nice and helped work on the farms and hosted many parties that other Halflings attended. He had a sister, Linstina and she was a lot different. Very social and outgoing. He did have a grandpa but he sadly died last year. He was a veteran from the war of most of the world and the Princedom of Fenn against the Concord of Llyria. He was allied with the Princedom of Fenn but hated what they were doing. He didn't believe the Concord of Lyria deserved this. It saddened him that the Concord of Llyria disbanded and the people went their own ways since it kept on getting invaded. But Lalel was a bit different. He didn't like communicating with a lot of people and would rather have one-on-one talks with someone close. Most of his childhood age 3-12 he spent in his room studying the anatomy of Ologs, Dwarfs and other species. Along which studying philosophy and the ancient history of different species and their religion. But he did make one childhood friend which was Auzoth, another male halfling who was only 3 months older than him. They both shared the same interests and really only hung out with each other. They would sometimes go into the woods and try to build small houses out of sticks. He had good education ever since a young age. His father taught him most of the things he needed to learn to live like any other halfling. When he turned 13 he still had his friend Auzoth and they decided that when they were going to go on on huge journey and be the first to go back to the forgotten lands, Anthos, The Verge and Atlas and even before maybe. When he was 14 he started to look into the history of other cultures, rather than his own. He started to look into Elvish religion and studied their gods like Cernunnos and Cerridwen. Druidism became a habit of his to learn about. He's always been non-vilonent. He was surprised to learn that even Orcs and Golems could join it. The thought of Orcs respecting nature and picking flowers made him laugh. Later on he even looked into Orcish culture. Learning about Shamanism, but never learned how to preform it after the many attempts. When he turned 15 he still had the same idea to go on this adventure and he is slowly overcoming his anti-socialism. Its been easier to talk to people and make friends. Although, Auzoth was still his only close friend. But that all changed when one day when he was 16 he heard a sound from the woods when he was in his room relaxing. It was in English but he couldn't make out what it was. He got up and look through his window. He gasped as he saw a female halfling laying on her back with a arrow splinted into her heart and her neck brutally split open. He then saw more, and more halflings getting shot by arrows from the military of Heartlanders. He ran down stairs and met up with his parents and sister who were calling his name. They knew what was going on and had to go. The packed as much food as they could as fast as they could. Lalel even rushed upstairs and got his short-sword. A ancient Orcish weapon he found when he was 10 and never told anyone. They rushed outside to meet face-to-face with a Halfling who tried to get inside but was impaled in the back by a Heartlander carrying a spear. The halfling died in my fathers arms. It wasn't very long till my father realized it was his brother. The Heartlander was then going to kill us but it stoped in its place. The Heartlander was large and blocked the entrance and before we could try to get out the window but then, the Heartlander coughed up blood. It then fell to its knees and died. I was confused but then saw a Halfing with a hatchet in his hands who stabed the Heartlander in the back of its neck. And before I could act, my father grabbed me by my shirt and pulled be back. We then ran to the other side of the house and jumped through the window to get to safety. We made it out and just as we were going to run towards the woodlands, my sister tripped and fell. My mother ran towards her but quickly died from a arrow to the forehead. My father screamed "No" as he let go of me and went to my sister and mother. My father held my mother in his arms as my sister who was uncounsiely laying next to her. My father acted as if he didn't notice the Heartlander which was about to execute him. I wanted to move, I wanted to help. I was shaking in fear as I saw my fathers head roll down the head in a blood trail as the axe split though him and my sister. My hand held onto the sword. I didn't know what to do. I herd a scream for my name. It was Auzoth, my one and only friend. I watched as he was cut down by a Heartlander who had a grinning expression on his face. I felt as if I was useless. I could have saved my friend and family. My character felt as this was all his fault. So he turned. Turned and ran, ran right into the woodlands. This invasion happened because the Heartlanders wanted more territory and felt as if the Halflings were useless. He remembers the past few month human messengers would come and talk to the elders of the village. And would mostly end in disappointed looks on both faces. And since the Halflings refused their land, this resulted in a brutal eviction. And for the passed 2 months he turned 18 and lived alone in the woods surviving on animals he killed with his sword. He knew which part was edible and which wasn't since he studied the anatomy of them. He reflects on when he had the idea, the quest, his life of traveling to the ancient lands with Auzoth. He thinks of them as nothing but foolish dreams of a child. But he still has all the maps and data he wrote down with Auzoth in case his dream ever comes back. But for now he only has one quest, and one only, to get revenge on the Heartlanders.
