Hailing from Haelun'or, Soveliss is the descendant of a respected lineage of detectives. As a child, his parents' work fascinated him, and while to many the idea of an inherited career sounds restraining, he welcomed it. With his parents working and no siblings to speak of, Soveliss spent most of his youth in study. He would later go on to study in the capital at The Eternal College, single-mindedly driving his education forward. While this was fulfilling in terms of his education, he interacted with few people on a personal level, leaving him socially unfulfilled. When he decided it was time to properly begin his career, he initially took smaller jobs, such as finding books which had not been returned to the eternal library. He was successful in these endeavors, but his initial success would not translate to larger assignments. He found that, due to his relative inexperience, many he sought work from did not respect him. Often someone else will be given a job he sought after for this reason. Though this has not discouraged him, he feels that he must act sophisticated and stilled, or else be looked down upon. He believes that if those around him were given a reason to look down on him, no one would need him anymore. Currently, he continues his attempts in furthering his career. Though some still do not show him respect, more often now they are at least willing to accept his help.
