Taffeta was born to a seamstress and farmer. She loved to follow her father around and go on adventures in the nearby forest, learning about the pretty flowers from her father. When she wasn't outside, she was beside the fire with her mother, probably pricking her finger as she tried to sew. At age thirteen, her house caught fire and all her family's possessions were destroyed yet the greatest loss was the life of her beloved father.
After this incident, her mother and her set off to find a new home and collect items such as thread and cotton. They settled down in a small house where her mother started to mend clothes. Once again, Taffeta went wandering about and collect some of the flowers for her father. On her way home, an elderly woman asked if she would trade her one of those flowers for a chicken egg. Taffeta happily gave her the flower but insisted that she kept her egg.
Since that day, she had decided to try start her own store. She would head out early every morning to collect a variety of flowers then set them neatly for people to buy. After many years, her mother fell ill and slowly passed in her sleep. Taffeta remained in that house and continued to sell her flowers yet recently has longed to travel to a place full of more people.
