Born to Sigurd Ubbasson and a mother he didn't know in a small village in Norland. He grew up without seeing his father often, only when he returned from raids, and he was gone soon after. His mother died giving birth to him, and his father did not enjoy speaking about her, he never spoke her name, as it brought too much pain. He was raised by the tribal community, with financial support from his fathers raids, he was able to live a fair lifestyle. He spent his younger years playing and mock fighting with his friends. At the age of 15 his father took him aboard his longship, and taught him the ways of the sea. By the age of 20, he was a seasoned veteran of the seas, he had been on countless raids, and had the scars to prove it. His father was struck and killed by a stray arrow in a failed raid on a monastary. He and his fathers crew were scattered to the forest, forced to flee after their ship was burned on the shore. It took Ragnarr many weeks to return home on foot. Now without ship or crew, he seeks to rebuild his reputation.
