Born within Arcas, Gortag grew up within the sandstone walls of Krugmar, a Hobgoblin with a lust for battle. As a young kub he would be taught the ways of combat by his Clan, Lur. As he proceeded to excel in his martial ability he would find himself yearning for something more, something new. The opportunity would present itself when the move to Almaris began, a new land with new experiences. He would often dream of becoming a Shaman whilst traveling along the seas to this land, imagining himself a mighty warrior and dedicant to the spirits. Sacrificing the best of his kills along the journey to further this end as he fished amongst the waters. In this time he would be fishing for the most dangerous aquatic life he could, often on the prowl for sharks and the like. This period of would often remind him of his days spent in Arcas where he would hunt, alongside his Clan, creatures such as bears, tigers, etc. Above all, he would present the carcasses of such creatures to totems alongside shamans as a sacrifice for his successes. Gortag would be determined to make the most of his time to make himself worthy to his Clan, nation, and the spirits.
