Fýlaksi was born in Norland into a regular middle-class family. The beginning of this story, however, isn't what's important. Up until the age of 36, he had lived a rather normal life, aside from the countless acts of petty theft. Fýlaksi had noticed a small cabin that he'd thought to be easy pickings. Oh, how wrong he was. The following day, he had gotten into the cabin rather easily, but something seemed off. Shortly after, he'd found himself bound alongside two others named Atlas and Caladin in preparation for what looked to be a grand sacrifice. One of the two had asked if Fýlaksi wanted to die there. Responding with the obvious answer, he said "Of course not." All while asking himself how he's going to get out of this situation, he and the other two had spoken of their past, expecting nothing less than an early grave.
