Pimpul MacGoblin is a 26-year-old Highlander Human who spent his formative years stealing from privileged villages around Haense giving him a bad reputation as a criminal. He’s since grown to regret his past transgressions but still believes that the ends did justify the means at the time. The items he used to steal were to ensure his family were clothed and fed as they all live an extremely secluded life in the north in Norland within caves and sometimes venturing out to beaches. He has vowed to himself to never to steal again in hopes that this will better his future reputation with outsiders, he learned how to hunt and craft at a basic level which is an achievement for a cave-dweller like him.
Other than his natural hereditary grotesque appearance passed down 3 generations, he has a large scar on the left side of his face caused by a wolf he unsuccessfully tried to befriend 6 years previously. Pimpul loves his family and naturally gets scared to explore any further from their caves, however, the further he explores outside his usual comfort zone, the more he enjoys it each time. He keeps this to himself though as he feels telling his mother and siblings would cause great turmoil due to the family not exploring outwards ever before. He has ambitions to one day own a blue tunic (rightly or wrongly) believing it reflects being wealthy and immeasurable reputation, though this is just the way he thinks in his simple mind.
Being 5ft10 may seem normal to many across Almaris, but Pimpul MacGoblin doesn’t know this because his youngest brother is 6ft5 and oldest is 4ft10. On the rare occasion that an outsider passes by, Pimpul will be the one to introduce himself first and take them to his mother where they will discuss any possible trades, though what is discussed is kept between the mother Wemlis-Bemlis MacGoblin and the outsider of course.
An average day for Pimpul would consist of gathering as many materials as he possibly can for his family to build and expand their caves. Albeit his knowledge of the calendar does not exist, he still has a favourite month which is Sun's Smile due to the harsh cold calming more than other months making mining work a slight bit easier on his muscles. He will most likely be mining for anything that looks precious in hopes his mother will gift a reward for his tireless work. That day is yet to come.
Pimpul MacGoblin is yet to meet other races like the Orcs, Halflings or even Dwarves… but he has met one Elf who is suspiciously persistent in his efforts to acquaint himself with the family. He has promised the MacGoblins to let outsiders know of them and with Pimpul’s newfound feelings of wanting to travel, he will gladly listen so he can see the south of Urguan one day.
