Alwin was raised in a small family consisting of his father, mother, and sister. They lived deep in the forests of Almenor, outside of The Glade of Siramenor, the village that they visited when in need of supplies or for festivities. He had a very normal and happy childhood, and never minded that the spotlight was always on his more talented sister. She was always better with a bow than Alwin, but that's not to say he was necessarily lacking in skill himself. While growing up they faced very little hardships up until the time their father, a member of the Sulier'ir, died in combat. Afterwards, Alwin and his sister continued providing for their mother up until the time she also passed, from natural causes. Alwin and his sister continued living and surviving in their house in the forests of Almenor, but he soon found himself completely alone when his sister followed their father's legacy and became a member of the Rangers. She didn't make it far into the ranks before misfortune fell upon her, and she died in a small, meaningless patrol mission gone wrong. All alone, Alwin decided to move into The Glade of Siramenor, as his old house became less of a home and more of a bitter reminder of his loss. In the village, Alwin met a female wood elf, and they lived together for many years. When they attempted to have children, they were continually unable. His love, wanting children and distraught by their inability, left the village and Alwin to search for a more meaningful life somewhere unknown to Alwin. Now, the lone wood elf often spends his days alone rather than with company in the village, and finds more peace in his interactions with nature than his attempts at connecting with others. Lately he has had aspirations to see more of the world.
