Oathgar was born in the outskirts of Krugmar to Ugar (Mother) and To'kir (Father). He had many step brothers and sisters, but was the only child of To'kir and Ugar. Both Oathgars mother and father were esteemed warriors in their tribe, often killing many foes in raids and battles. Oathgar, like all Uruks, grew up fast and began joining his parents in raids at about the age of 13. Oathgar often could not keep up with the other orcs in battle. He had the bloodlust and fury as any orc would, but his small stature led to him being labeled a runt by the other members of his tribe. This was most disappointing to many of his kin, as it was expected for the child of two of the tribes best warriors to be an even greater fighter themselves. Because of this, Oathgar would rarely get any chances to improve himself in combat, as many other orcs saw him as too weak for sparring. He instead spent many days with shamans and goblins, improving his mind. But the battle fury in his blood could not be satiated by literature and spirituality. At the age of 16 he demanded he join with his parents on what was proposed to be a great raid. His parents agreed, seeing this as Oathgars chance to prove himself as the great warrior he was destined to be. They placed him in the front of the raiding party. Filled with excitement Oathgar was ready to bloody his axe. For days they traveled, eventually leading to a colony of dwarves. The raid began and Oathgar was ready to bleed the stunted weaklings he had been taught to hate so much. Finally a chance to prove himself as a warrior. But he soon came to realize that there was no challenge here. He watched as his brothers and sisters burned houses and crops. As defenseless dwarves were mercilessly cut down. But he went on, he was taught that the weak were created for the strong to take from. Oathgar grabbed a torch, setting fire to one of the many houses. When in front of him a young dwarf with a spear appeared. This dwarf was obviously not a fighter. Oathgar watched him, and saw in his eyes the fear and hopelessness that his tribe had brought. He felt a kinship with him. The bravery to stand before an orc the way he did, even knowing there was almost no way he could win. Was this dwarf much different from him? Oathgar didn't have much time to contemplate this thought as It didn't take long for the dwarf to charged. Nothing but rage and hatred lead the spear. But it was not enough. It took only one clean strike from Oathgar to take down the foe. But he felt no satisfaction. How could he. There was no pride in killing such a helpless enemy. The raid ended soon after. The orcs bringing back many spoils. Oathgar had done well in the eyes of his parents and tribe. But this raid brought him only guilt. For years he continued. Both of his parents eventually falling in battle as was expected of warriors of their stature. Oathgar would become moderately respected within the tribe, but only as a rank and file solider. But since that raid his outlook on his culture had changed. He began seeing the shaman more and more. And tried his best to keep his instinctual bloodlust in check. Now at the age of 19 the spirits call Oathgar. He is restless, and eager to prove his strength but does not yet know how.
