Being born and raised in Elysium, Daniel was always a Helpful boy around the town for anything that needed to be done, often doing little side jobs for the residents for small coin. When he came of age, his mother would take him in as a Baker's Apprentice at the age of six. Daniel always had an affinity of anything culinary related, loving to spend time with his Mother when possible, His father was a merchant in Norland so Daniel didn't have the opportunity to visit with him much. His faith laid within the Red Faith, being a long time follower from a young age, but not being as religious as he used to as he grew older in age. At the age of 13, Daniel was allowed to Wander and Adventure without supervision from his Mother, starting to learn the land around his hometown of Elysium, Daniel was mapping some trails for him and some other local kids to go venture out and forage for fun when he slipped into the ice cold freezing lake, soon to be saved by an older kid from the village of Hethnar who was out and about doing the same thing, the weather was growing colder when the Hethnar kid escorted Daniel to his cottage, letting Daniel warm up by the fire, besides his friend growing up, being the neighbor's daughter named Varyanna, his savior would become closer than ever with Daniel, eventually learning the kid from Hethnar's name was Ulfred. From that moment forward, Daniel became obsessed with their culture. Soon enough he made the trip nearly every day to train with Ulfred, learning the way of the blade and bow, learning to live off the land as well, becoming exceptional in the craft. Before he knew it, at the age of 17 he would find his first real job as a mercenary for Silent Hand Mercenary & Co., as Daniel ran in excitement to Hethnar to tell Ulfred the news of his new job, Ulfred's parents had told Daniel that Ulfred had already left for Haense and haven't heard a word back. Devestated, Daniel continued forth, to set sail for his first assignment. Years later, Daniel had no hearing from Ulfred's parents, only from his own, begging Daniel to come back to work in the Bakery. Daniel missed the simple quiet life, but he was still under contract, this time with another Mercenary Firm, but he couldn't breach contract without expecting the worst to happen, he already owed too many favors. On Daniel's way back to Norland, word got to the firm that he was to return home without approval of his firm, afraid of desertion, the unnamed firm sent mercenaries out for his life, they were new to the line of work, so it would be a great way to establish themselves as worthy Mercs. Daniel suffering minor injuries from cuts from their blades to bruises, would dust himself off after dealing with his problem, knowing he wouldn't be safe if he was to stay there for long, moving in with Ulfred's parents to lie low for a while in hopes the firm either forgot about him, or wouldn't send anyone to Norland.
