Echo grew up in a loving yet strict household within his small tribe located in Elveness. His family was always comparing him to his older brother, Neyvil. Even though the frustration of being compared to someone who's seen as better than him grew, he tried keeping a positive attitude while being around his friends. One day a mysterious fire broke out in the middle of the night while Echo and Neyvil was out and about in the forest. When they returned, they found their parents struggling for dear life, barely alive. Seeing this sight, Echo could only stand there in shock as the fires ablazed around him while Neyvil tried to help their parents. The last thing Echo remembered of his mother, looking deep into her eyes still in shock, was the words 'I wish you were never born'. Her final words struck Echo's heart, driving him into the darkest place. After the fire cleared up, those who survived along with Echo and Neyvil resided in a temporary shelters until the town was rebuilt. While Echo friends tried cheering him up, he was too sadden to even respond and brushed them away entirely. This lead to a fight between him and Neyvil. With Neyvil's strike knocking Echo back into his senses, he was able to save himself from destruction. Echo wasn't happy to stay with his tribe as the last words of his mother lingered with him. He packed a bag of necesities and gave his final goodbyes to his brother before setting off to a happier place where he could be much more free instead of chained to his family's beliefs. He eventually reached Providence where he would start his new journey.
