Born to a family of librarians and library keepers, Johann spent most of his childhood and teen years inside the Royal Library of Norland aiding his family and reading the books as he grew up. Johann never really found much interest in faith but found some beauty in the sacrifices people were put through for their beliefs.
His mother was a sweet woman, who helped her husband keep the library clean and organized. His father on the other hand was a distant and cold man, who spent most of his days roaming the hallways of the building. Johann always felt like reading was a way of connecting to his father
From a young age Johann felt interest in heroic characters such as gentleman thieves and inquisitive investigators, heroes that rather used their brains instead of brawling. His personal hero was the character of a novel called Arsen Lupan, a charming thief that stole from the rich and most often than not, utilized his wealth to live like a noble and help the less fortunate. After reading the novel, Johann became fascinated with the idea of being able to read others and being several steps ahead of your enemy; not that he would need those skills on his quiet lifestyle
At age 17 he fell in love with a soldier called Ferdinand, both grew a fast friendship turned love. Unfortunately it was not long lasted for Ferdinand was drafted away and fell in battle.
Nowdays Johann has more trouble getting closer to others, due to the fear of being hurt again, having no true reason to stay, he moved to Amaris with the plans of building a new life and building his own library to be proud of
