Important events in life: 8/2/1786, Cal was born in Sutica as an unexpected child, the parents were very tipsy and didn't intend to have this happen. Despite this, he had a somewhat happy and healthy childhood. 5/7/1792, Cal's parents were killed during a raid. He forgave them because he believed they were being forced to do this. A few days later, he had adjusted to the fact that he was on his own now, and that he was responsible for how his life went. Not knowing what to do for education, however, he decided at night he would roam around and break into places while doing as less damage as possible, to read from the books people owned or to practice other skills. He was caught in the process of these things several times but he never let the people see his face, he just apologized, put the stuff away and left. 6 years later while other kids his age would be studying hard, he'd be helping out the civilians with any jobs they needed help with and quite often at the end of the job, they mentioned how well his parents must have raised him. The repeated memories of the raid made him try some alcohol to keep his mind off it but he hated the taste of it, and decided he was going to just have to ignore the statements instead. 1/1/1804 he started preparing to move away from his hometown on his birthday to another place. He was debating whether or not to go to Haense or Oren, but eventually decided on going to Oren, due to how large it was, which meant more job opportunities and better living conditions. 8/2/1804 he decided to leave his hometown to move to Oren, but before leaving he gave half of the money he had earnt over the years from helping with the civilians to the guards to help improve law enforcement and protection. He took the other half with him to Oren, where he had met Oliver Crowly, Warwick Raven and Valenae Astramis.
