(First of all, I reccomend increasing the character limit for the character description, because i cant fit nearly all I want to write in there)
Character traits continued: She acts as though she's a 24 year old human. She has social anxiety when dealing with new people, but is fine when speaking to people she knows well, and when she has the high ground on an enemy she can also speak pretty confidently.
Backstory:
She was born in a remote village in the forest, to the mayor of the village. she has one older brother - about 20 years older, who helped her train her sword arm and bow skills. They lived there for about 20 years, and along the way, Thorne Greenbriar learned many skills. Among them was cooking, hunting, tracking, and had gotten good at bartering with the local merchants and such whom she'd known all her life. When she was 42 however, the village had been attacked by orcs. Many people died, but they were able to drive off the invasion. Thankfully, both of Thorne's parents were safe, thanks to the skills of her, her father, and her brother- not to mention the longhouse guardsmen. One of the orcs that were captured revealed that they were after the Greenbriar family, as they had learned they live here from a group of humans. They sought blood, and wealth, and the head of the Elven leaders would prove useful in getting a promotion to warchief.
The Greenbriars deemed it unsafe to continue living there, as the orcs would keep sending reinforcements, and their humble village could easily be razed to the ground without assistance from the capital- which they were very far from. They decided to change their last name and get everyone who remained and travel to a new village, or make their own in a safer spot. Eventually they set out, and travelled for a few weeks. The journey was especially hard on the young ones, and Thorne. She was very depressed as a result of leaving her childhood home so suddenly.
They travelled across the land, headed south. attacks periodically happened, picking people off, until soon there was only a small group, not big enough to make a town of their own. Thorne's mother became sick about a week ago, and had been confined to a covered wagon.
Thorne and her brother were out hunting when they heard their father's agonized wails, and when they came back, they found that their mother had passed due to her sickness. the following days were spent nearly silent, as their group of merely 8 people mourned the loss of such an important woman. Eventually they came upon a broken bridge, and were unable to go on. Thorne was sent to scout around and look for another way across the gap, but when she returned, everyone had disappeared, seemingly vanished. All they left behind was her mother's purple amethyst pendant, which she wears around her neck at all times. It's in the shape of a diamond (like the card suit) with silver around the edges. She set out, eventually found a way across that didn't require enough space for a wagon, and was absolutely broken. She barely had the will to hunt and survive, but she remembered that she didn't see any blood, or signs of a struggle. She knew they were still out there somewhere, she just had to stay alive and find them. They had changed their last names to Emberglory, so she had to remember to ask for them by that name. On the other side of the broken bridge, there were wagon tracks- fresh. She set out to follow them, and seek out her family. The wagon tracks led towards... [Insert lore friendly place where the wagon tracks could possibly lead, it would take her about a week to get to there. The wagon won't be there, and nobody will have seen it, so she goes out every morning to search for them, any trace of them.]
