Aridia was raised by her parents in a large forest, filled with mushrooms. Her parents, Mira and Lorik, taught her everything. They taught her of the origins of Aegis, and the other species in her world. They would tell her amazing stories of the terror of the Black Scourge and other evil. Her mother would take her into the forest and teach her of herbs and mushrooms, and her father would teach her out fight and defend herself with bows and arrows. She often journeyed into the forest without her parents, and one time she found a cave. Eager to explore it, she entered it and made her way through it's twists and turns. Until her torch blew out, and she was left in the dark. She was lost for days, wandering in the bleak darkness. Finally, she made her way out and returned to her worried parents. Since then, she always uses light to escape from the darkness. It was a terrible day when her father left to find treasures for them, he left, but he never returned. He fell to his death on the slopes of a tall mountain. Her mother grew ill and heartbroken as her father never returned, and slowly her mother died. Aridia buried her mother and began to take care of herself. She would hide when any other species came into the forest, and she would protect herself from anything dangerous. She has seen other elves many times, but has always been too afraid to talk to them, and so she keeps hiding away.
