Ruegem's parents were both Uruks from Krugmar who had become dissuaded with Orcish lifestyle and culture and sought to raise their child sheltered from it. They took him from Krugmar to raise him in Sutica at a young age. His parent's were outspoken about their ideals of rejecting Orcish culture, this proved a fatal mistep as Ruegem found his parents dead at the hands of a group of traders from Krugmar. Ruegem was found by a caravan of Dwarves who took the young orc boy back with them to Vailor. This is how Ruegem would grow up, separated from his people and culture living among dwarves. He was raised in a dwarf household by his adopted parents who intended to give him a traditional dwarfish upbringing, this did not work as they intended as Ruegem grew distant from the most dwarves and held a strong urge to reclaim his Orcish heritage which he felt was robbed of him. Ruegem knows little of his heritage and people's culture, yet lives by an extrapolation of what little he has heard through stories and chooses to believe. This leads Ruegem to distance himself further from his neighbors and family. Ruegem is the second youngest of 4 brothers and 3 sisters, living in a dwarf sized home with so many people and his Orcish stature proved to be tedious. Ruegem has left his childhood home in search of a means of traveling to Krugmar and claiming his heritage.
