Bernard was born in the lands of the far north with the Hyspian Tribe alongside his hunter parents. From a young age, Bernard was taught to Hunt and Fish in order to help sustain his family's living. He travelled around with his fellow Hyspians on common occasion, meaning he never truly had much of a home for a few years. It was in the year 1790 when he and his family would settle with the rest of the Hyspian tribe in the city of Tierra Natal. There, Bernard would continue to be taught how to hunt and fish as well as how to survive alone in the wild. After the fall of Arcas and therefore Tierra Natal, Bernard was separated from his Parents and was forced to travel with the remaining Hyspians alone. Once reaching Almaris, he spent several years in the forests hunting for survival. It is here that he received his bear coat, which he continued to wear for warmth. It was here that he would discover that the remaining Hyspians had split into two factions. He finally decided to set out and find his people again and reunify with them once and for all.
