Rayth Rismak, born into a family of 3, a loving mother named Alice Rismak, a strong father named Julius Rismak, and an older sister named Sarah within the Red Faith of Norland Kingdom under the rule of King Halvar Edvardsson, grew up under the protection of his kingdom and family. His father Julius, who served in the Sword Pillar and fought in the Rubern War in the 1750s, was a strong and well-known warrior in the Norland Kingdom. He was honorably relieved due to complications after the war and spent his remaining years training his only son the art of Norland pride, swordsmanship, survival skills, and above all the love for his family and Kingdom. Sir Julius was a respected man beyond his peers and looked up to by many in his warrior caste within the Sword Pillar. But misfortune was going to destroy the Rismak family forever. And one cold winter night everything had fallen apart for Rayth on his 16th day of birth. In the brisk night, flames rose into the night sky. Smoke filled the tavern home with thick black fumes that engulfed everything like the sweet embrace of death. But it was too late. Alice and Sarah, both unconscious from the smoke and gravely burned while lying in their beds. Rayth's and his father both tried to save them covering their faces and body with fabrics, eyes burning, and smoke penetrating their lungs with the poison that was now air. As Julius was pulling Alice and Rayth carrying Sarah out of the burning exit that was minutes ago a door, crawling through the fiery blaze out onto the cold stone floor. Collapsing and gasping for air three dark figures stood above the Rismak family. Waiting for them outside were three men, wearing the Norland suits of armor. The Norlandic Coat of Arms Crest glimmered brightly in the moonlight. All three men, armored to the neck in hardened metal armor plates. Rayth looked up seeing his father’s brethren that he fought along with and his inspirational heroes standing before him like guardian archangels sent from the Red Faith to rescue them. Rayth thinking to himself “they’re finally here, we are saved!” Julius rose to his feet. And in one blink of an eye, all three men drew their swords and begun to attack him. Each swing grazing him as he tried to dodge the lances. Rayth was paralyzed with fear and terror. “What is the meaning of this… How could this be happening... We are one of them” he thought to himself. Everything now in slow motion, he could only make out the blur of sounds and words his father was mouthing "Run!!.... Take your sister and run!" Rayth terrified not knowing what to do musters the strength, rises to his feet, scooping his lifeless sister in his arms, and runs like he was taught by his father, “control your breathing, count your steps, and don’t look back”. But he couldn’t resist looking back at the horror thinking this must be some sort of hell-filled nightmare. Fire filled his eyes with tears. The men laughing and stabbing his father, the Norlandic Coat of Arms Crest on their armor flashes across his eyes once more as he runs into the darkness of the night filled him with pure hatred. The fire behind them grows smaller and the smell of smoke, burning flesh, and laughter is thick in the air as Rayth runs through the thick forest. Fearful of being hunted by the people who were supposed to protect them. Rayth would not stop running until reaching the border of Norland, where his sister died in his arms. Death, anger, and tears filled his mind. His fist pounded into the ground crushing the gentle may crest flowers that lay beneath him… Hours passed, and in the early morning lights, a shallow grave was dug for his sister where she was layn. A stone carved with her name 'Sarah Rismak', and two more right next to her, with the names 'Julius Rismak' and 'Alice Rismak'. Rayth, blinded by hate, fear, and destruction now wandered the plains between the Kingdom and Norland and the Holy Orenian Empire. Two years will pass, Rayth learned to survive on his own, build on the swordsmanship and craftsmanship that his father passed down to him. After entering the Holy Orenian Empire, Rayth lived in the shadows of those in the city Haense and the wilderness of the surrounding plains. Gathering supplies, just enough to survive and heading back into the darkness where he can vanish. During this time, however, Rayth learned from the infantry, cavalry, and rangers that walked to and from throughout the city and talked too loudly, overheard what the real reason for his family’s ‘accident’. Because of his father’s accomplishment, Julius and his predecessors, monarchy nobles had overheard talk of Julius' family being granted entry into the noble Imperial City of Helena within the heart of the Kingdom for his courageousness in battle and loyalty to his Kingdom during the previous war. The nobles felt disgusted that a family of non-royalty and noble blood could be such successful warriors within the Norland Kingdom and saw it as a disgrace upon the Nordland name. Those that despised Julius and wanted to take his place planned a malevolent and atrocious plot that would be cast over as an accidental fire in the dwelling of the Rismask Family. Killing all of the family line. This is the beginning of a new chapter in Rayth's life, filled with adventures, fear, revenge, and the unknown.
