Born on a small farm near Oren, Thora grew up amongs the sheep, goats and cows of her family's farm.
Her family was relatively poor, but always managed to pay taxes, until she was bout nine.
Taxes had recently been raised due to some conflicts in the area, and they were barely meeting ends meet, so when the tax collectors came to receive their due. Her parents, unwilling to pay to protect their children, was hauled off by soldiers and before they could be returned after the end of their sentence, Thora had run off.
After that, she grew up in the city streets, stealing and thiefing to survive, for a few years, before returning back to her parents.
There, she was taught farming, cooking and other common things, yet she failed to learn even the slightest art, barely able to write or read.
When she turned 14, her life turned around yet again, as she was send to work as a servant at a nearby manor, failing utterly at all her tasks.
It wasn't long before she was turned away, kicked out from her job and had to return to the streets to work.
Her illegal ways let her into many spats with the authorities however, forcing her to slowly bend to the commands of the Imperial State Army, become more honest once more.
But she also got to see the horrors of the world, and vowed to never return to the Church of Canonism, that no god could let people suffer like her.
When she finally turned 18, she decided to head out into the world, to find her true place
