Macray was born in the kingdom of Norland, in Varhelm itself. He was raised by his father to become a Northguard. His whole life was being taught how to fight, all the commands he needed to memorize, and all the words he needed to use. He wanted nothing more than to be part of the Northguard for all his life. He only got out of training and was now a solider in the Northguard, prepared to do his duty at any cost. Until he found an artifact on a raid, a strange mask whispered to him, told him things. He was suspicious of his leader and skeptical of battle plans. After long he learned to cope with his new caution by keeping to himself for the most part and only joining his comrades in battle.

Macray was born in the Kingdom of Norland in Varhelm itself. He grew up normally enough as he practiced the Red Faith with his brother Ivan. As the years went on not much changed until he joined the Northguard. He was proud to wear the armor so long promised to him. After long though battle wore him down, his armor was soaked in blood of races of all kinds even his own. He left the Northguard as soon as he could preferring to stay at an old house he had made not far from Varhelm. He was interrupted in his peace by a stray hound wandering the woods that scratched at his door. He allowed it in as he sympathized with it. He was constantly attacked by all manner of wildlife but grew to love his new way of life. He hung up his crossbow and axe only keeping his armor for fear of being attacked. His hound died not long after but he keeps a drawing of it hung up as a reminder every day that he was safe here. However recently the fire in his chest has spread to his mind as he started collecting gold pieces, a slow trickling of greed was being pored into him, from where it came he doesn't know. He feeds it even now collecting all the jewel he can find in hopes of filling his hunger. He was truly spreading the fire.
