Carmen Sandol was born to a simple farming family in the Kingdom of Norland. Originally the land that they inhabited was rural country that only allowed for the provisioning of the small family. Her family composed of herself, father, mother, and 3 siblings. The worked as a family in near isolation under the rule of the father and his iron fist. Carmen Sandol was fond of the work in the fields and tilling amongst the crops with her siblings. However, this reality would end upon entering the home for the nightly rituals of housework and scorn. The best memories were made when she was allowed to go to the Norland markets for necessities after she turned 13. She loved meeting and sharing knowledge with those at the markets. These markets soon got closer to home with the leasing of land by Norland to the Kingdom of Hyspia. Soon, these became her main markets of interaction, however her father was soon unable to continue providing for their isolation with the rising prices. So, her family left and Maria has taken to living as a farm worker for hire amongst the people who now call her land home.
