Axel was born into a somewhat wealthy family in Providence, Holy Orenian Empire. He lives a luxurious life among merchants and some nobles. The family has had troubles with peasant, and one family in particular, the Lowstone family, a long time rival with the merchants of the Hightaverns. One day the youngest son, Joseph Lowstone had enough of the Hightaverns. While they were asleep he lit their house on fire. Axel woke up to the smell of smoke, and while coughing his lungs out he tried to wake up his parents, but without response. So Axel ran away in tears outside the house. He realized that someone will eventually come, and decided to run away from the city. He felt responsible for the deaths of his parents, so he hid for years in solitude in a small wooden hut he built himself. One day a travelling merchant walked by his home and knocked on his door. Axel rushed to the door and greeted the man, who tried selling him weapons. Axel did not have any money, but the merchant inspired him, so he decided to start venturing and build his own business, like his parents once did, to earn some money. During his life in solitude, he learned crucial survival skills in the woods, but he lacks some social skills due to living alone for so many years without having any other contact.
