At a young age he was a merchant who dreamed he would be a Knight, Mage, or even a Noble himself. When he was around 13 years of age he had to make a dire decision that would cost his friends life. he chose to save his friend instead of his things that he has won over the past, his friend who was opposed his decision killed himself so he could live a stable life. Seeing his friend getting killed in front of him, he became scared on doing decisions and tried his best to avoid doing so. Around the age of 17, he started to believe that helping people may help him atone his errors he did in the past.
