Briefly explain the lore behind this construct or creature:
The Musin are mouse-folk descended from the crude, plague-infested Ratiki. They found asylum in Almaris after sailing to the continent with a one-way wayfarer artifact, where they happened upon a descendant dubbed "The Giant." Under the guidance of this man, the Musin learned to clean themselves so as to remain free of disease, as well as growing to treat descendants like mythical idols.
The mice-folk are even smaller than the halflings, ranging from 1'8" to 2'6" in height and 20 to 30 pounds in weight. Their minuscule stature makes combat extremely perilous, as even a weak strike from a dagger can be a severe or lethal wound to a musin. They rely on dexterity rather than strength to inflict damage on their opponents, with the rapier being the weapon of choice for most. As a result, most musin prefer to run away at the sign of danger rather than fight--those who opt for the latter are deemed foolish in their society.
Due to their ratfolk ancestry, the musin have a strong compulsion to scavenge anything that isn't currently in use or bolted down. This can be perceived as thievery to other races, but to them, it is a matter of making use of available resources. What they make with these materials is often shoddy and rudimentary; though their little hands are perfectly built for finely detailed work such as engineering, they lack the knowledge and technology to construct anything that does not collapse in a matter of years. Similarly, their clothing is usually made of patchwork fabrics of bright colors.
If this construct or creature has some form of aesthetic choice, can you describe how they look?

Make No Mistake, We Are a United People
The morning of the 1st of Sun’s Smile, 22 S.A. was a pleasant one--the spring sun beamed upon the cheerful faces of Elysium’s residents as they went about their simple, fulfilling lives. Yet all that was good would be darkened by the arrival of the uniformed barbarians of the Imperial State Army. From Providence, they descended upon the picturesque town, slaughtering innocent men, women, and children alike.
To this day we, the bereaved fathers, mothers, siblings, and friends, mourn the senseless massacre that befell our community. We decry the army’s rank-and-file, devoid of good sense to refuse such immoral orders; the officers of the ISA for commanding their men to enact such depravity upon civilians; and the King of Orenia for his complicitness in this display of wickedness.
But make no mistake, we are not an idle people.
We cry, we grieve, we remember. We pay our respects to those who fall in battle. But we, the people of Norland, do not mope about in our wooden and thatch homes. We choose to honor the dead by ensuring that the land and heritage they died for will not be plundered to ruins by barbarians with high pretenses. And so, immediately after the massacre of Elysium, work on the fortifications began.
Spearheaded and designed by the patriarch of House Amaricius, Galenus Amaricius, construction of the wall started on the afternoon of 1st of Sun’s Smile. With the blessing of the Duke and Duchess of Elysium, Eugeo de Astrea and Mwari Delilah de Astrea, the first stone of the foundation was hauled from the Varhelm mines and laid upon the field by none other than King Sven Edvardsson himself. With that, the clans and the community sprung into action. Heads of Clan Vanari, Lunah and Amethyst Vanari joined Galenus in placing the stakes and pillars that would shape the palisade shielding the Elysian community from the wicked ire of the Orenians.
The first foundation stone placed by King Sven Edvardsson, 22 S.A.
Within the first day of construction, the bulk of the palisade was completed thanks to the industrious efforts of the community. From the honorable Clan de Astrea, the construction team received the majority of the building materials, with their young Beatrice Nobomi de Astrea toiling away at the wall, hammering wood onto wood to form the barrier.
The second day of construction was equally—if not more—productive. The chieftain of Clan Svartvind, Tannon Svartvind stepped up, donating many crates of lumber and stone for the effort, all the while excavating the riverbank and fortifying the retaining sea walls to protect against amphibious assaults. He was assisted by Ellanore Nria, the gracious Lady of Lake Eada, and Liluth Solros, a head ranger among the Order.
A young man seeking to defend his home, Takumi Saegusa dedicated all of his body and mind into fortifying the palisade with stone and lumber. It does not take a scholar to know what drives a young man to such onerous dedication—his was the home that was defiled, and his was the burden to carry.
As the carpenters continued to hammer away, the military men and women of Norland came to answer the call. Esmond Reede and Aobh Aldin served to highlight weaknesses in the wall, with Leumont guardsman, Carson Berthmeud, lending his expertise in such matters as well. Exercising much care, Galenus fortified these sections—he was not to leave open any avenues for the Orenians to exploit.
In the final day of construction, the carpenters pulled out all stops for the home run. The palisade was once more fortified, the seawalls raised even higher, and the gatehouses constructed in tandem with Maduz Necopolian and Galenus. All the while, Lunah Vanari constructed battlements along the wall. Capping off the endeavor, a ballista was carefully installed atop a tower by the ingenious Ninskeeq’Ungri.
Soon thereafter, the marshal Donovan Freysson and men of the Northguard began work on auxiliary fortifications that served to further hamper the motility of the Orenian bandit force.
Three Stone days had passed since the massacre of Elysium, and the fortifications were complete. In such urgency, the community stepped up to complete the herculean task of erecting the walls that would keep us safe from the Southron threat.
Let these towering walls be a testament of the absolute solidarity among the peoples of Norland. We stand bruised but resolute in our ideals, with HONOR radiating from our every action. Make no mistake, the hearts of Elysium remain with the righteous King Sven Edvardsson, he who protects our lands and our dignity from the degeneracy of the Imperials.
Never forget the 1st of Sun’s Smile.
Never forget the massacre of Elysium.
Iron from Ice.

Upon hearing of the missive, Galenus Amaricius promptly dropped the lumber he had been hauling. The decurion expectantly clutched the parchment that bore the Duke's message, sighing deeply of relief. "Finally, the truth is spoken- let the true color of Oren be known: crimson, for the blood of innocent women and children. Iron from Ice."
The man soon returned to building the palisade and making the Orenians pay for it.

Galenus Amaricius slams his fist against the table upon reading the missive!
"Attacking women and children out for leisure and holding them captive- forcing them to speak untruth to be freed?" He looks over to his dear friend's infant boy, muttering under his breath a 'thank you' to no particular God that neither of them was harmed in the raid they were included in."Where is your honor, Oren? Will you not pit your fighters against our fighters? Or have you committed to dishonorable terrorism?"

Sitting in his office with scrolls and tomes both old and new strewn across his desk, Galenus peers over to this proclamation. He raises his hand up to his chin before falling deep in thought. "Perhaps they may have the answers left unwritten..."
The man takes a sip of his tea before perusing the literature once again, in hopes of uncovering the mystery of his friend-turned-nemesis. Above him, the mahogany clock ticks closer and closer to the ten years he's been lent.

Briefly explain the lore behind this construct or creature:
Phantoms are the souls of deceased individuals that have not moved onto their appropriate fate and instead manifest in the form of ectoplasmic creatures. They are made up of ectoplasm, a substance that is a combination of life force and mana. Their nature allows them to perform feats of telekinesis, take on the form of spectral animals, and become invisible, but it also makes them intangible and unable to interact with most physical objects. Phantoms do not have any biological needs and do not bleed, and any non-fatal injuries they suffer will not have long-term consequences. The way that phantoms experience and react to pain varies depending on their type.
Generally, phantoms are unstable both mentally and physically. Their ectoplasmic form can be harmed by aurum weapons due to the material's ability to conduct and interact with mana. Voidal magic, mysticism, and holy magics, can also harm phantoms. Though they can passively heal from injuries over time, if a phantom is killed they will demanifest from the realm for one IRL day. They are immune to mundane weapons as those would simply pass through them. However, they cannot phase through objects to access spaces that could otherwise not be mechanically accessed and can only weakly grasp and interact with physical objects.
When they first awaken, phantoms may not realize they have died and may go about their usual routines until something causes them to realize their true nature. The so-called revenant is unable to exert much influence on the mortal realm and is typically confused and depressed. A revenant may seek isolation and try to understand the reason for its death. It may try to continue with its former life but eventually comes to understand its new reality as a ghost.
If a phantom does not come to terms with their death, they become a poltergeist, characterized by their anger, violent nature, and gruesome appearance. On the other hand, if they accept their death fully, they become a specter, which are characterized by their softer appearance and calm, benevolent demeanor.
Poltergeists, specifically, become tormented and bitter upon the realization of their death. They are often characterized by intense negative emotions, volatile and reactive due to their emotional turmoil. They have rejected their nature and become violent and unhinged as a result. Those familiar to the poltergeists before their death may recognize them, but these phantoms are mainly husks of who they used to be. They are predatory in nature such that instinct and emotion drive them, not necessarily malice or ill intent.
Specters, though still inherently depressed and sorrowful, have accepted their death and new form as a phantom. They are usually benevolent and kind, selfless and avoidant of conflict. Be that as it may, they still may not seek out contact with mortals, as well as practice care in navigating the living world as an undead being. They closely resemble their previous selves in personality, although their memories may fade with time.
Phantoms have a variety of abilities lended to them by their ectoplasmic nature. They can hide themselves behind a thin layer of ectoplasm to turn invisible, provided they are not in direct sunlight. They can take on a different spiritual form such as a cat, hound, or a similarly sized animal. They can also exert varying levels of influence on physical objects in a non-combative capacity depending on the type of phantom. Poltergeists and specters can potently exercise telekinesis on inanimate objects up to 10kg in weight. The two also possess an aura which instills certain emotions to those close to them; the former bringing negative emotions and the latter positive. The two can also possess corpses, minds, or other vessels, effectively puppeteering them. Most impressively, poltergeists and specters can attach themselves to a dark and gloomy place thereby haunting it. They would not be able to leave their haunt but would enjoy heightened abilities while in it, with the potency increasing over time.
In the case of my persona, they were pulled from the Seven Skies by a mystic and thus would skip the Revenant phase.
If this construct or creature has some form of aesthetic choice, can you describe how they look?
Galenus, in his poltergeist form, would appear to be a dense cloud of pitch black. The figure is abhorrently frail and emaciated with long, untrimmed nails sharpened to a point. His head is barren save for few stray strands, a gaping wound where his left eye would have been. He would be largely unrecognizable from his mortal self who died of natural causes -- those marks of age overemphasized by the phantom's rage and contempt for his current form and his maker.
