Edward was born to two loving parents Oswald Blackburne and Ela Blackburne in Providence. He was an only child and his father had good income working as a mercenary thus he went to proper schooling. There he studied philosophy and science and met a few good friends that eventually split up leaving him mostly alone. His father enrolled him in a fencing and swordplay club where he learned to fight and stay disciplined in battle. In his free time, Edward liked to read, play chess, and walk the many forests that surrounded him. He listened to the stories his father would tell him of great battles and kings. He become obsessed with politics and power and read many books on diplomacy and war. When he became of-age to leave the house, his parents gave him some money to settle down somewhere decent until he could get on his feet. He worked as a combat instructor for the fencing club briefly before ultimately quitting to find some adventure and wealth like his father. He traveled throughout the Holy Orenian Empire looking for power, wealth, and knowledge.
