Althea was quite lucky, she had choices that some didn't but it didn't mean her life was all wonderful. Althea's father was never around, he never once made contact with the family which resulted in her mother working hard to feed her and her older brother, Vaegon But somehow she made it work. Everything was perfect for awhile until one night her brother became their father, a drunk his words had been slurred and his movement were slow and clumsy but it didn't last long, the next morning they had found him in the shed behind their house, dead and discolored, she was only a child and yet she had already witnessed death and felt the loss of a loved one all in a morning. Since the passing of her brother Althea had stepped up, taking care of her and her mother making sure they had food and a roof over there head, Althea's mother had never recovered after that night.
Over the years Althea had grown cold and distant to others only ever showing her mother kindness, Her temper was short and she had her fair share of arguments and a few physical, others verbal. Althea never bothered with her small village, they had never helped her even when the saw her grieving they didn't bother to help and it angered her they only ever whispered about the death of her brother. When she had finally gotten sick of the village she had set out to find another village elsewhere, a new beginning in which she hoped to much kinder.
