Elias comes from a well-off, suburban family on the outskirts of the Holy Oren Empire, however, his family was originally from the heart of the Holy Oren Empire, Providence. Born away from the action, but not far in spirit, Elias grew up on the tales of his not too distant ancestors. He learned about the Empire as well as how his ancestors were avid artists, musicians, and travellers through the stories he was told. He learnt of all of the creations they left behind; how they left the dark dreary world they began in, full of color. He also learned of their travels with the breathtaking scenery and the unique people they met along the way. He aspired that one day, he too would be able to traverse the world and leave his mark.
In his little niche of a town, Elias also had a best friend. Together, they shared their fantasies of travel and exploration. The swore that once Elias got older, they would leave their humble little town and traverse the world together. When the Sedan Rebellion occurred, his friend enlisted in the Imperial State Army and when he returned, he was crippled. Ruined were their dreams of travelling the world together, and though Elias would never admit it, this event struck fear into his heart. His friend not dead but near and Elias was bitterly reminded of the fragility of life. How inconsequential a life was and how easily it could be snuffed out and forgotten.
There would be no waiting now. There was no time like the present to craft a future and with this, Elias left the comforts of his home in search for a greater purpose.
