Nere was born in Elysium where he at first was taught to follow the Red Faith, though after his mother was taken away from him he took his two younger brothers with him to Karosgrad where he was cared for by some friendly Canonist priests. After being generously granted a place to stay by a priest he made a conscious effort to learn more about the Church of Canon and was properly converted at the age of 18. While he properly converted to Canonism, and appreciates the charity he was shown by the church, he doesn't practice his faith often. Nere currently spends most of his time around the tavern in Haense attempting to overhear various attacks and acts of banditry in an attempt to try and pick up a couple odd jobs to help care for his younger brothers. Nere also frequents markets where he tries to find fairly priced goods so he can make some of his delicious meals he taught himself to make. Like his beloved apple cobbler with a flakey crust, and a spiced apple filling dashed with a bit of rum that would cook out to add flavor. One day when his siblings are old enough Nere would like to start a monster hunting company where they could attempt to learn more about the various creatures of Almaris and defend the citizens of Haense from attacks.
