Jordan Greyhair was born to a seamstress and fisherman. The small town he came from was called Goldhill. One day a strange knight came to town. He wore poorly made rusty armor with mismatch pieces. The knight stayed in the local inn for a few days as he was passing through. One night Jordan met the old Knight who was telling stories tot he other children in the square. The knight told stories of battles and victory, of saddens and sorrow. Jordan spend every waking second with knight until one day the knight was packing up to move on. Jordan begged the knight to stay and to tell more stories. So after a long discussion with his parents, who knew there was nothing in Goldhall for Jordan besides a fisherman's life. Agreed to send him as the strange knight's squire. SO from then on Jordan was squire to the strange knight, whos name was Jurgen the Wanderer. Jurgen and Jordan wandered the world taking odd jobs from whoever was paying. Their life was simple and whenever the weather permitted Jordan and Jurgen would travel home to see Jordans parents. Nearly 10 years later as Jurgen and Jordan were traveling Jurgen took ill. Kilometers from the nearest village Jurgen and Jordan were forced to hold up under a tree to escape the wind and rain. Eventually with the last of his strength Jurgen gave Jordan his sword and told him to "be a true knight". For years Jordan would ponder on what that meant.
