Arthur was born to a family in the outskirts of the Holy Orenian Empires territory who lived among farmers. He was taught at an early age, about their religion and Creator, but he always had some trouble believing it. He was also good friends with his neighbors, who one day, decided to go traverse a cave and see if they find something. They later found a chest somewhere deep in the cave, after it was opened, one of his friends was unlucky enough to be ensnared in the trap wired to the chest, poisoning him and causing his body to spasm. As Arthur and his friends began to flee out of the cave for assistance, in their panic they went a different route from which they came. this route had tons of traps which sprung and killed most of the others who went with Arthur. Only a small group of survivors left the cave, this event would affect Arthur, and plague him for the next 7 years. Later when Arthur was 14, he was conscripted into the ISA, to defend the Holy Orenian Empire's borders. During his 3 years garrisoned somewhere around the border, he fought some raiders, and stopped some bandits from pillaging a nearby village. But other than that, his deployment was very uneventful. He was later moved with his unit to combat the forces of Norland, being stationed somewhere else to defend from raiding factions. After the attacks by the Norlandic faction, and other hostile forces, began to raid the area less frequently, he and his unit were ordered to participate in patrols across the lands of The Holy Orenian Empire.
