Pit was born in the city of Karosgrad into a large family that consisted of his parents, aunt, and seven other siblings. Growing up in an impoverished area of the sprawling city, he grew up alongside urchins, thieves, and other troublemakers. His parents lived busy lives but, whenever they had time, they encouraged Pit to live an honest life and find work that would give his family the opportunity for a better life. He worked with vendors and did odd jobs, but barely made any money to support his family. Pit didn't want to resort to crime, but he was willing to start down that path for the sake of his family. He received an offer from a local tavern owner to become a debt collector and receive substantial pay. With this job and a few months, Pit could raise the money his family needs to move out of his rotten neighborhood.
Pit considered his job easy, he was made strong by his upbringing. Through intimidation, he was able to make his debtors pay or work off their debts. He thought his months would come easy until he was attacked at night. The men who attacked him wore masks and never spoke a word, but Pit had a hunch they were sent by a debtor he had visited in the past. They left him bloodied in the middle of the road. Nobody came to help him, and he had to drag himself back home where his aunt found him half dead at their doorstep. Pit changed that night, his successful intimidations during his first months as a debt collector inflated his ego and he believed he was invincible, but in just a few moments he was shown how fragile his life truly was. Before taking the tavern owner's offer, he vowed to never bring up his work at home, but after his aunt saved him he couldn't keep it a secret anymore. After telling his parents the truth, he packed his things and left home to Elysium. There, he hopes to find a new chance at an honest life.
