Father got sick when he was younger consequently his family struggle finacially. Ergo, he attempted oddjobs till he could scrounge enough cash in order to study medicine, to help his ailing father. These jobs including amateur graverobbing, pickpocketing. Then as he aged became more legitmate, as his sick father was disappointed he had spurred this behaviour. He and his father fell out over this, his father passing away serving as his catalyst to study medicine. His hatred of social climbers, came from his wealthier peers disdain during his education. This dislike eventually leaving forcing him out of education, to make it in the world but whatever means possible.
