Arudri was born as an only child to a Dark Elf family in Aegrothond, so his parents naturally had high hopes for him to possibly bring honor to their family by committing some major act of heroism, and so they did their best to mold him into a perfect Dark Elf by trying to make sure he was the smartest in school as well as the best with the sword through lots and lots of grueling training. Needless to say, this didn't go that well. Arudri couldn't keep up with his parents expectations and their hellish training. Often times, his body was utterly exhausted from the amount of sword training his father put him through, and his mind was usually completely spent after the amount of knowledge he had to learn. And when he wasn't able to keep up with them, his parents often got frustrated and beat him, as well as locking him alone in a completely dark room, causing him to gain an irrational fear of the dark. Now, this isn't to say that he didn't end up improving from this training, no, he was considered a prodigy among his peers due to his improved skills from the constant training. However, on the inside, he often felt like he was slowly dying, like pieces of his soul were falling off, piece by piece. This hellish way of life continued for a total of 18 years, before he was finally able to get away from them and live his life the way he wanted. So, he ended up moving away from Aegrothond, aiming to try and find what he wanted to do. And after quite a while of wandering, he eventually decided that he just wanted to become insanely rich, so that he would never have to go through something like that hellish training ever again. So with that goal in mind, he set off to go to a major city and possibly find a way to get rich quickly. How? Well, he doesn't really have a plan in mind right now, but he'll probably be able to make one up soon enough.
