Reynine was born the youngest of her rather large family. She has 2 older sisters and 4 older brothers. She never truly bonded with any of them, usually being labelled the 'bookworm' of her family. Her father, Athlestan, taught her how to wield magic and study alchemy and arcana, so in stead of playing, she threw herself into her studies, focussing hard to make her family proud of her. From the age of 10 she began learning how to use a rapier, with her mother, Largatha, and with this she became closer to her parents. Her brothers(most of them) signed up to the army, so, they would teach her how to defend herself, which, she was never good at as they all used heavier weapons than her light and speedy rapier. Her sisters went away, finding nice men to settle down and start a family with, they all remain in the city, alive and well. Whereas, Reynine remains in the city until she can escape, for 8 years she has been honing her magic, studying alchemy and potions so that one day, she may be of use to a party that'll take her away beyond the walls. she has read about the creation of her people many many times, yet the story of how the fiery-war that consumed the world never failed to run goosebumps down the girls pale skin.
