Hjalmar, son of Erik, is from House Arnling and growing up, his only true friend was his cousin Richart. He grew up in a little town in southern Norland in the realm of Almaris. He was very competitive with the other children while growing up, being one of the best fighters among his peers. Richart left home when he turned 18, leaving Hjalmar alone. It wasn't a difficult life for him, he was the favorite grandson, him being in the line of succession for the head of the house. He was groomed to be the head for most of his life, trained in combat by many masters and educated by elders. After 13 years, Richart came home and told of a clan he joined, Hjalmar was intrigued and decided he will follow Richart to Sutica to meet the clan.
