Donny grew up within the capital of the Kingdom of Norland, Varhelm. His mother was a housewife, his father a renounced fletcher who worked contracts with the Kingdom. He had a humble upbringing, caring very little for the politics and conflicts going on around him. He was a very quite child, keeping to himself rather then being around the other townsfolk and children. His life was a simple one. This was until his mothers passing, succumbing to illness during a particularly cold winter. As he was a child, he didn't understand the situation; the cruelty his family was suffering during his upbringing and mockery his father faced from brown-nose nobles.
After the winter passed, himself and his father fled to New Reza in-order to to obtain a fresh start. This is where Donny would meet his first real friend: Slvyia Grandell, the daughter of a grieving family who just lost a loved-one. They spent a lot of time together and grew particularly close. As Donny would get older his feelings would manifest into love, but he would never state this, it was a mixture of his shyness and unwillingness to jeopardize the time he spent with Slvyia. This would be his downfall, as later he found out that Slvyia married herself off to a nobleman as a concubine; leaving his feelings unbeknownst to her.
Donny would hate himself henceforth, giving into his shy nature. On his 18th birthday Donny would venture out into the world - looking for his place in the world.
