The Myrna household was one of quiet voices, long hours mulling over scrolls, and careful poise. Though all high elves revere their own ancestry, these two were not oblivious to their curse. As such, they conceded to the idea of adoption for the sake of having another child, even if not of pure Mali'aheral stock. And thus the lone wood elf boy was brought into the care of two scribes, to be raised along with their daughter Delvii. Brother and sister – though of strikingly different bloodlines – came to be very close over the years, and shared a distaste for their parents’ austere tutelage. Perhaps it was the fairy tales they’d read that inspired them, or the word of mouth from travellers on the road. Whatever it was, one night they decided to strike out on their own, and left their home in the East for good. Avid learners and bold adventurers, they wandered to seek a life of their own, not decided by another. Under the new surname Avir, chosen for its meaning in their mother tongue – “those destined to wander” – Delvii and Eliseo’s story begins.
