Amaruq was born far away in s very small town, small enough were everyone would know everyone. When growing up, he never found anyone who enjoyed the same things as him, and ended up never really getting any friends. His brother on the other hand did enjoy the same things and they often spent plenty of time together. Once when they where playing in the lake, his brother screamed and was pulled down underwater, Amaruq dove down into the water to see what happened, but the water was almost too dirty to open his eyes. When he had to go up for air, he saw his brother was gone, and rushed out of the water. When he was of his late teens, He found his town was boring and wanted to leave. He knew his parents would disagree, so he stole some food from the baker so as to not mess with his not so rich family, and was off. He took several useful items he had gained over the years to live through the travel, such as a knife and bow. Bow for hunting, knife for eating. He also developed some decent survival skills while on his journey. After he made it to a new town were nobody knew him, he realized he needed work, and with only as bow and knife, he took quests from the local townspeople to gain reputation and money.
