Born into a Qalasheen family, I grew up with my parents, whom taught me the faith of Al'iiman Rashidun as I grew up. They had left everyday to ensure that we had food to survive, leaving by camels to a far away town. One day when I was 7 my parents had left to get food but never came back. There I was, alone in Fakhr, the area of the oasis I grew up in. I had to roam to each house alone, begging for scraps of food to get by. I was then found and taken under the wing of Hassan ibn Khalid Ar-Rassidi. He then named me Farhad ibn Jamil, keeping my biological father's name Jamil. I continued studying my beliefs, with the hopes of being a scholar.
