You’ve just arrived in a swampy, dim town. As you look around, your gaze is met with shacks and cabins. It smells of rotted wood and wet moss. You duck and step into a tattered tent, illuminated by a series of candles suspended in the air. At the back of the tent, an old hag raises her head, “What brings you to this dingy town? she begins, then pauses to study your face—”Ah, it’s you. I’ve been expecting you. Sit,” she gestures at a cushion, “Tell me your story.” Blinking eyes were what met the friendly face of the woman. It was clear that the olive skinned stranger was disoriented but they hadn't made it verbally known. As their eyes finally adjusted the the dimmed light, their eyebrows furrowed. "It's me?" There was clear puzzle in their voice, one that they had tried to hide from the woman masked in unknown. However even in the questioning stance, Teras took the seat offered to them sinking into the warmth of the cushion. Letting out a deep sigh, their hands fell to the cold floor behind them as they leaned back. Looking down for a moment, there was a silence in the tent, only the soft breaths of each person being heard. "Spilling my secrets to a stranger..." A laugh escaping their lips at an uknown joke they had acquired as they finally held eye contact with the hag. "...where's the fun in that?" OOC BACKSTORY Teras was born into a loving family of 5, the last born of the Kamyen's. They were the youngest sibling having two older sisters before them. Though, being the youngest, in their youthful ages, never stoped Teras from always trying to play or entertain those that were around them. They were always the ball of sunshine, one that wanted to bring happiness and hope to everyone's hearts. Though, it hadn't always stayed like this. Their father had grown quite sickly when Teras had been around the age of 7 and because of this, it had fallen onto them and their sisters to look after their old man whilst their mother went out to work and bring them the food and keep the small roof they had over their head. It was a shift system on who checked on their father and who was playing with him, keeping his hopes up and on this day, it was the young child; Teras' turn. Needless to say, as a child, they had no hatred towards their father but it was the fact of not having the right responsibilities at the age to look after him that cause the man's demise. At least, that's what Teras' mother told him as their father died the next morning. From that day, Teras' mother never looked at them in the eye again. She never had the joy in her eyes that she once had. The spark she had possesed faded and the woman fell into a sense of morning. It had been like this for years, their mother barely speaking a word to them, leaving to go off to her job and coming back to the silence of the house. She would always walk in to say hello to her eldest of all the words she would say in the day but when it came to Teras, her son, she had nothing to say. A repeated action for the next 3 years until the cycle had been broken, broken from a teary Teras. "WHY DON'T YOU EVER LOOK AT ME MOTHER?!" He said in a state of upset confusion, "... I just want to talk to you..." The worn out woman turned and looked towards her son, a look of hurt and disgust in her eyes. Her voice was raspy as a faint whisper fell out her lips. "You look just like him..." Then she ventured up the stairs to meet with her daughters. This interaction with their mother flipped a switch in their brain. They simply didn't want to look like their father anymore and that set them off to an adventure of growing out their hair and wearing more clothes of their sisters. Their sisters found this behaviour intriguing not saying much to desuade their brother from their adventures and their mother for the next year saw Teras less and less; not that this had upset her. By the time Teras had turned 11, t their air had gotten to their midback region and if they were only glanced, they could've been mistaken for a female child. That was what they wanted. Though regardless of his efforts to look like a girl, Teras' disguise was seen straight through by his mother and it was one that brought pure and utter disgust to the woman. "You are NOT my son..." Her eyebrows furrowed at what sense to make of this descision, but she couldn't. She had no idea how to wrap her head around what she had been seeing. Placing a food on the stairs and holding onto the bannister, strands of hair fell over her face. "Teras Kamyen... you are not my son..." This broke Teras. Their own mother not wanting to claim them as her own. It shattered their heart, their spirit, their moral, all gone. They had nothing else, no more ideas, no more ways to cheer up thier mother. At this statement, Teras moped around their house for a few days, not saying a word to anyone, no smile falling on their face. A figment of everyone's imagination, a shadow of a person. Until, they really were. They left, not looking back and swearing their sister's to secrecy. Following this, Teras slowly began to raise himself going on adventures seeking refuge with many people and slowly finding himself a new means of fun. Trickery, pickpocketing and overall bringing misfortune on other people. Maybe finally finding themselves on the venture of adulthood might change that.

During her younger years, Ibar was raised by her father who hapened to be a of the high elf society. They also lived with her mother who was a wood elf and her older brother in Elvenesse. When they were very young, the siblings' races were confused. This was because Ibar was born unnaturally light for her wood elf backround and her brother was darker for the high elves. Thus, their parents misraced them and they were taught as if they were eachothers races. During this time, her father taught her how to be of essense, 'royal' as he still had the mentalities of the high elves. Thus, she began to lookdoen on her other family membets as they themselves were noy high elves. However as they became to mature, her hair began to darken rapidly. They had overlooked the fact that she had green eyes but with maturing her hair began to grow dark as it is now. With this, they began to rethink what race the children realy were. Realising that the had misraced their children, they switched children teaching the other with the respective parent. However, by this time, the mentalities they had already learnt caused a rift in their own way of thinkng. Especially on Ibar as she now faces the confusion of who she really is as stated in her fear. After this, their parents had a divorce for unkown circumstanecs to them. Allowing the children to decide their fate of where they chose to live, Ibar chose to move with her father. In this time once more she continued to learn the ways of being a high elf, despite not being one. It was already rooted in her system, she couldn't turn away from that and now that was all she lived by. That was until her father once more went back to her mother. This was more or less in Ibar's early 50's. Even though well matured, they now all once more stayed as one family unit. She found it hard at first to resocialise with her brother but after a few years, they created a bond that has yet to be broken. On the her 59th birthday however, their parents planned with the small village they lived in a surprise party. They had been staying over at the neighbours house when it happened. Staying there all day while preperations were made, a shrill shreak was heard outside as the village began to be more lit. More than it usually was. WIth all the sommotion, curiosity got the better and finding her way outside, she saw their house set ablaze. With parents no where to be seen, Ibar had to accept the fate that she would never see them again. Her only family left, was her brother.
