Flos was born into an incredibly poor family as an only child. Her mother passed shortly after she was born. With grief, debt, work, and caring for a small child, her father eventually came to the conclusion that it was in his daughter's best interests to be raised by others. So as a toddler She was left at an orphanage. Orphanage staff was cruel, uncaring, and often took advantage of the fears that she had. They threatened to put her out onto the streets for the smallest misdemeanors and punished her frequently. The orphanage was also heavily religious. Flos was taught reading and writing through the study of The Holy Scrolls. Many punishments involved the recitation of scripture along with some humiliating or damaging thing.
Her early and mid teenage years were largely the same as her childhood ones. Throughout all those years she did make a few friends and had happy moments but she also formed opinions on the church, poverty, and many other things. As soon as she turned 18 she was forced to leave the orphanage and she did so happily.
