Soraya's family were peddlers. They would travel from town to town selling ammendeties and various pots and pans. One day, a bandit group robbed everything from the peddlers and captured all the peddlers as slaves. Thanks to some fortunate circumstances, Soraya was able to escape, but her entire family are still slaves. She wanders from town to town from culture to culture to supress the urge to go back to help them. Soraya knows that she doesn't have the power to save them, so she chooses to drown her sorrow with exotic food.
