Young Mosufri has little recollection of where he was born, or the family he was born to. Bits and pieces of faces somewhat like his own live in the farthest reaches of his memory, but he feels no familiar bond to them as they forfeited their mewling child before he could stand on his own two feet. The figures in his life that he considered parents were much more formative in his life, an Adunian man and woman named Floyd and Lucinda. They had found the poor creature in a nest of brush and took him into their home, and Mosufri proceeded to grow up a child of the Empire. Mosufri never felt as though he lacked a loving family, the only source of discontent with his upbringing coming from the fact that he was a significant minority in what he considered his home— a fact that brought him a great amount of trouble and distress amongst his childhood peers. In his maturity, Mosufri had elected to take leave from his home to prove that he was greater than what he had felt like as a youth. Upon his departure, his parents lovingly made him a warm cloak of deepest black cloth; an article that would become his most prized possession.
Along his wandering, Mosufri encountered a man who couldn't speak and rather forcefully dragged him along on his venture, deigning him "Bowl" as he could not for the life of him read the man's written word. And thus, they became a duo...in a sense.
