At the age of 6 Varn watched as a group of Orcs attacked his village not to far from Arcas. His mother Warn, his father Barn, and his brother Karn, along with many others were taken prisoners. Varn went to live in Arcas after being found by a group of soldiers from the The Principality of Aegrothond. Varn was raised as a soldier and later rescued his captured village folk at the age of 19. But before he could save Karn a demon got into his head saying that he can not save Karn because he is weak. This later resulted in Karn dying and put a heavy burden on Varn. Varn met a Dark Elf named Muso-ka who was traveling to learn about the people and society in Aegrothond. They became friends because they felt a bond between them.
